Proust’s room, recreated in the Musee Carnavalet, on Boulevard Hausmann, and at Illiers-Combray

In this bed, under a fur coat all year, Marcel Proust wrote the longest novel ever written, In Search of Lost Time. That novel contains something brilliant about almost everything. The zine, Proust Said That, tells the story of the Cacophony Society’s Marcel Proust Support Group, what we did to turn a literary challenge into a life-changing and hilarious experience, and a lot of what we learned along the way.

The Proust Said That blog is, like the book itself, about everything that seems worth writing about, and it includes something Proust said that’s relevant to the subject. We hope it gives you as much pleasure as it’s given us.
